Winnie Winkle Fashion Cut-Out

Winnie Winkle Fashion Cut-Out paper dolls from newspapers by the artist Brenner.  These are from the 1930s.  Both feature a backward glancing base with outfits shown from the rear perspective, a very interesting pose for a doll.  I love the prints on the second page.

Jane Arden Couples

Here are some Jane Arden newspaper pages from the 30s featuring male characters along side the typical female fashion cut outs.  Of course these pages are a bit brittle from age and have discolored over time as well.

A tale of two Tillies

Haha, pardon my pun!  Above is an interesting look at newspaper comics.  These are the same panel/paper doll but one is black and white dated May 6 1933 which would be a Saturday not a Sunday and the bottom is in color dated May 7 1933.  Both are Tillie the Toiler.  Note the bottom credits the artists but the top does not.

Busy with school.  Here's some of the projects I've done for my Graphics class.  Top ones are Photoshop, bottom is Illustrator animated gif. And look, pictures of me... and me!  Lol.  Midterms are right now, so test exams and such are sucking up my time.

Inktober Witch Continued

More costumes for the Inktober witch.  Can you believe this month is almost over!? So Oct 14 was space them, I went with a retro future look. Oct 15 was royal, I did a Victorian inspired queen. Oct 16th was beast master. I designed an animal skin costume along with a wolf head dress.  I thought about skin-walkers, those who become the animal.  Oct 17 was Necromancer, so I did some skulls and bones. And last on that page was Music, which i don't love, based on a majorette costume.

The second page has Tech witch, I was inspired by Mech suits and included some solar panels. Oct 20 was mermaid, petty fish design... Oct 21 was Potion Brewer, I did a variation on my merchant witch.  Oct 22 was Knight witch, so suit of fantasy armor.  Finally, Oct 23 was magical girl... which I want to redo. I don't like that design at all.  Forgot to add shading to this page too.
